Asaf has a broad litigation practice and has appeared on behalf of his clients before the BC Court of Appeal, the BC Supreme Court, Bankruptcy Court, the BC Provincial Court, Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT), WorkSafeBC, and the BC Human Rights Tribunal. He has experience in a wide range of legal matters, from commercial litigation to family law to administrative and tribunal law.
Prior to joining Kowarsky Ritson LLP in 2016, Asaf lived for a time in London, England and worked for British and American law firms. Asaf was called or admitted as a lawyer in British Columbia (2016), England and Wales (2013), and the State of New York (2011).
Clients find Asaf approachable and attentive to their needs. He is skilled at translating complex issues into straightforward concepts. Prior to pursuing law, he worked as a line cook, a farmer, and spent a few years in the military.
Asaf received a Master of Laws with Commendation from City, University of London (2011), a Degree of an Utter Barrister from Gray’s Inn (2010), a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Cardiff University (2009), a Post-graduate TEFL Certificate (2001), and a Bachelor of Arts from University of British Columbia (2000).
His interests include cooking and assorted adventures with his wife and child.
